What this website provides

News In Las Vegas publishes short explanatory briefs on local news in the Las Vegas valley, each based on and linked to published reporting, and a list of local headlines from other outlets.

Tips and submissions

When you send a tip you confirm that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you have the right to share any material you include. Sending a tip does not guarantee that we will publish anything about it, and we may edit or verify it before use.

Calls and text messages

Text messages are optional. If you tick the text-message box on the tip form, you agree that News In Las Vegas may text the number you provided about your tip. Message frequency varies, usually 1 to 3 messages per tip. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or reply HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of sending a tip; without it we follow up by phone or not at all. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Accuracy

We work to be accurate and correct mistakes openly, as described in our standards. News changes quickly, and briefs reflect the reporting available when they were written. Check the linked original for the full account.

Limitation of liability

This website is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, News In Las Vegas is not liable for losses arising from reliance on its content or from links to other websites.

Acceptable use

Do not use the tip form to send spam, threats or unlawful material, or attempt to disrupt the site.

Intellectual property

Our briefs, illustrations and logo belong to News In Las Vegas. Headlines on the wire and quoted material belong to their publishers.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, with venue in Clark County.

Changes

We may update these terms and will change the effective date when we do.
