What happened

Banana Ball, an exhibition baseball league known for rewriting the rules of the sport, is coming back to Las Vegas in March, the Las Vegas Sun reported. The Party Animals and the Firefighters are scheduled to play three games March 18-20 at Las Vegas Ballpark.

The games are part of the league's 2027 World Tour, according to a news release cited by the Sun. Officials said the series will be Banana Ball's fourth visit to Las Vegas.

Who can buy tickets and when

Ticket sales will roll out in stages, with certain ballpark customers getting the first opportunity. Everyone else will go through a lottery list run by the league.

Early access for ballpark customers

Officials said Las Vegas Aviators season ticket holders, hospitality groups and suite purchasers can begin buying tickets on Monday. Those buyers are asked to call the ballpark box office at 702-943-7200.

A lottery list for everyone else

Other fans can sign up for a ticket lottery list at BananaBall.com through Oct. 31, the Sun reported. Fans who are selected will be contacted about buying any general admission tickets that are available.

Officials cautioned that joining the list does not guarantee a chance to buy tickets. The lottery is the route for fans who are not Aviators season ticket holders, hospitality groups or suite purchasers.

Prices and a warning about resale sites

According to the release, general admission tickets start at $35, and meet-and-greet tickets start at $125. Children 3 and younger get in free.

Organizers also warned that tickets bought through third-party sites are often fraudulent. They said those tickets will not be accepted.

How Banana Ball changes the game

The league reworks traditional baseball rules to create a faster game, the Sun reported. The changes cover game length, base running and batting.

Rules built for speed

Games have a two-hour time limit, and walks turn into sprints. A foul ball caught by a fan counts as an out.

Bunting is banned under the league's rules. Batters are also required to stay in the batter's box, according to the release.

Entertainment between pitches

Games also include choreographed dances, scoring celebrations and popular music, the release said. Rosters feature former Major League Baseball players along with celebrity guests.

Why it matters for Las Vegas fans

The March series gives local fans another chance to see the touring league in person, following its earlier stops in the city. All three games will be played at Las Vegas Ballpark, the same venue tied to the Aviators season ticket holders who get first access.

Fans outside the priority groups can join the lottery list before the Oct. 31 cutoff to try for seats. For more on local events and gatherings around the valley, see our community coverage.
